Product Introduction
Protection relays are useless without clean power. The GE URRHH is the high-range power supply for the Multilin UR family, taking 125-250V AC/DC and regulating it down for the relay logic and dry contact inputs. It’s the first thing to fail if you get a station battery surge or a lightning strike on the control wiring.
You don’t buy a GE URRHH for fun; you buy it because your relay is dead and the substation is unmonitored. With 35W output and 2000V isolation, it handles the dirty station power that would fry a standard DIN-rail supply. The built-in self-test tells you if it’s failing before it takes the relay with it. Bottom line: keep a spare in the cabinet, or plan on a long outage when it pops.
